Annual Fund Drive Mailing
What if you had an emergency and no one came?
Each year the members of the Dunellen Fire Department respond to hundreds of calls. Our members are Dunellen residents, most work in town or nearby. When the call comes in, we drop everything and respond to your aid. Our volunteer firefighters are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to assist you in your emergency. But we can not do it without your help. As a 100% volunteer organization we are dependent on your donations to keep going.
Donations from residents and area businesses are vital in order for the Dunellen Defender Fire Co., No.1 to maintain our operations. Because of ever increasing training requirements and other time constraints on our volunteers, we are asking you to mail back your donations.
Each year, the Dunellen Fire Department sends out a mailing for our annual fund drive. The money raised from this mailing is used to maintain the firehouse, purchase needed cleaning supplies and many other items.
Through the years, money raised from donations has permitted us to fund numerous upgrades to the firehouse as well as routine maintenance and cleaning, provided an annual scholarship to a graduating Dunellen High School senior, and provided vital funding to cover our annual insurance premiums in addition to many other items vital to the operation of the Fire Company.
The Dunellen Fire Department DOES NOT solicit by phone or door to door. If someone attempts to solicit a donation by phone or at your home or business, notify us immediately.
